Pst. Itua Ighodalo
Sermon delivered by Pastor Itua Ighodalo, pastor of Trinity House, Lagos at Breach Repairers Assembly, Lagos, during the celebration of the 50th Aniversary of Pastor Kingsley Chuks Nduka, Senior Pastor, Breach Repairers assembly, Lagos on Sunday, April 17, 2016.

Bible Reference: Psalm 92:12-15

The bible describes the life of a righteousman as “flourishing like Palm Tree” and “growing like
 Cedar of Babylon”

Palm Tree
Palm tree is one of the most useful trees on the planet. It is so useful that everything on the tree- even some roots-is reused in some way or the other. Palm tree is characterized by productivity, longevity and usefulness and above all, it always make it to the top.

Cedar of Lebanon
Cedar of Lebanon is a tree known for its strength. It was prized throughout the ancient Near East. Cedar was imported to Egypt in the reign of the 4th dynasty king Sneferu. One of its primary uses was for boat construction.

Why God created us
To worship Him
To impact mankind
To fulfil our visions
To make it to the top

It is very clear that one of God’s purposes for us is making it to the top. Man has no business with failure or any reason not to make it to the top. It is true that challenges of life tend to distract us most times from pursuing our Godly purpose which leads us to the top but we must not stop nor give up.

Steps to making it to the top

Be planted in the house of God:
To be planted in the house of the Lord means to know Him, fear Him and serve Him. It also means constant fellowship with Him in place of worship. The following bible passages shades more light to it.

Psalm 75:6-7 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

1 Chronicles 28:9-10 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. Take heed now; for the Lord hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.

Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Know God’s Will For Your Life

Acts 13:36-37 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

To make it to the top, you need to know the will of God for your life.
The scripture above made us understand that David served his generation according to the will of God for his life. Discovery of God’s will for ones life is another step to making it to the top. 80% of the world population do not know God’s will for their lifes. To discover His will for your life, there is need for you to constantly be in His presence; this takes us back to the first point.

Have A Powerful Vision
Your vision in life is a mental picture of where you are going. It is where you aspire to be or the height you aspire to attain in life. When you know God’s purpose for your life, the next step is having a big picture of how far you can go with the purpose. There is power in dreaming for what you can’t see, you can’t get.
Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

Be Prepared To Pay The Price
Luke 9:23. And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
This is what paying the price all is about. The journey to the top is tasking and requires a lot of discipline and sacrifices. Following Jesus daily is the answer.

God will favour you.

BORN GREAT BUT TIED DOWN

Pst. Chuks Kinglsley Nduka

ARE YOU BORN GREAT BUT TIED DOWN?

Sermon by Pst. Chuks Nduka
Snr. Pastor
Breach Repairers Assembly

Bible Refrence: Mark 11:1-10
11 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’”

4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, 5 some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. 7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,

Pastor Francis Achebe
Asst. Pastor,

Effects of Generational Curses on Dreams and Expressions

Preached by Pastor Francis Achebe
Date: Sunday, April 3, 2016.

Bible References;
Ex. 20:5. You are not to bow down to them in worship or serve them, because I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the iniquity of the parents to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me.

Ex. 34:7. Maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.

Num. 14:18. The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.

Deut. 5:9. The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.

  • What is your dream in life?
  • How big is your dream in life?
  • What has God called you to be in life?
  • How far are you from your dream?
These are self assessment questions that will help you ascertain how far you are making progress in the pursuit of your life dreams or not. Among factors that can pose threat or hinder one totally on ones journey towards realizing ones life dream or calling in life is inherited/generational or ancestral curses.

Generational Curses Defined

Curses:
A solemn utterance intended to invoke a supernatural power to inflict harm or punishment on someone or something.

Generational:
All of the offspring that are at the same stage of descent from a common ancestor: Mother and daughters represent two generations.

Lamentaion 7:5. Made it clear to us the fact that we are paying the price of generational sins thus; ‘Our ancestors sinned and are no more and we bear their punishment’

It is important to know that if there is a generational or ancestral upon someone, such person may not pray through to success. Ex. 20:5.

It is also of importance to know that if one is under generational curse, such person will not come out of it by just ‘binding and loosing’ rather, a prayer of repentance and seeking for God’s mercy is required.

Process of Getting Liberated;
A question that one desiring freedom needs to ask oneself is ‘what did my father or fathers did that God did not like?’

Having accomplished that, the next step is knowing and believeing that God answers prayers (see bible verses below)
Num. 14:28. ‘So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say’
Psalm 92:11. ‘My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes’

Prayer Points
Pray to God in the name of Jesus thus; I take the position of my father and forefathers who committed grievous sins (e.g.; idolatry etc) and I identify with those sins and ask that the blood of Jesus will atone for those sins.

Father, in Jesus name, remove/erase/delete my name, my wife’s and children’s and family’s name from every generational curses.

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, every power sitting upon my destiny, cause them to somersault and fall.

Father, every demon upon my life and family, I bind them and cast them into eternal abyss in Jesus name.

Every stranger riding upon the horses of my destiny, fall down in Jesus name.

Every evil garments and veils covering my glory, Father in the name of Jesus, i command them be torn in pieces.

Father, let the fragrance of life break fort like sweet smelling savor, i will access good things, helpers, partners etc in Jesus name.
