It was both refreshing, informative, expository and interesting moment in God's presence at Breach Repairers Assembly, Surulere, Lagos, on Wednesday December 9, 2015, at the day one (1) of our 2nd Anniversary Conference with the theme: The Ideal Kingdom Family; when Pastor (An esteemed veteran of the Independent Television Producers and a minister of the word) and Pastor Mrs Ime James dealt with the topic: Building the Foundation For the Ideal Kingdom Family. Below are the discussions. 

If you want to build an ideal kingdom family, you will need to dig deeper for a stable foundation. The foundation of every ideal Christian home is the word of God. The word of God is God’s manual for everything that He created including marriage, family and home.

For an ideal kingdom family, both parties (husband and wife) must be ready to listen, read and apply the word of God as it relates to marriage, family, and home. The reasons for most issues experienced in Christian families are always traceable to neglect of the word of God as it relates to family and marriage.

Why so much emphasis on God’s word? Because God himself said He glorified His word more than His name.

For instance, God’s original idea was that husband should love wife as Christ unto the church; Ephesians 5:25-27 He also expects that wives submit to their husbands as unto the Lord Ephesians 5:22. When these commands are disobeyed, the enemy seizes the opportunity to access Godly homes.

It is important to emphasize at this juncture, God’s purpose for creation of marriage. This will also go a long way to disabuse many minds which holds the believe that marriage was made for companionship and procreation alone. The main reason for creation of marriage by God is ministry. God seeing that Adam will not be fulfilled as God’s ambassador decided to create a help meet Eve. With this understanding, couples will be able to be visionary and purposeful in building an ideal kingdom family. Purpose is the soul of every idea, without purpose, idea fails.

At this juncture, it is advisable that we return to the character of Christ in building our Christian homes. When we do, great things will begin to happen in our homes, families and marriages.

The challenge of most marriages is that the couples allow society to run it for them instead of God through His words. When this happens, the vision and purpose of marriage is loosed to the devil that in turn comes in to batter the family as he likes.

In conclusion, an ideal kingdom family is founded on the word of God.
