Season of Open Doors Is The Sermon Delivered By Pastor Felix Umanah, Snr. Pastor, Redeemed Christian Church of God, New Couryrad Parish, Ebutte-Metta, Lagos on Sunday, 23, October 2016 At Breach Repairers Assembly Lagos.
Bible Reference Rev. 3: 7-8.
To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him
who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can
shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8 I know your deeds. See, I have
placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have
little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.
God has set
before us an open door that no man or power can shut. Rev. 3:8.
It is
important at this juncture that we look at who this God is, His nature and why
He makes promises with such authority.
Let’s take a
look at Rev. 3: 7-8 and extract some of God’s attributes that makes Him God
which is also reason why we should believe Him whenever He makes such
declarations. If someone you’ve never met comes to you and tells you ‘I will
give you N10 Million’. It is natural for one to start investigating who this
man that made this promise is, if he is capable of fulfilling it and all that.
But when God makes a promise, it is final.
Rev. 3: 7-8
- He is holy:
Holiness is
the highest level of purity and perfection. God is holy. It is impossible for
God with such highest level of perfection to declare what He will not do.

accordance with the actual state or conditions; conforming to reality or fact;
not false. God cannot lie. Rom. 3:4. let God be
true, but every man a liar;

The key of
David signifies authority and power that cannot be contravened
The God with
these elaborate attributes has declared an open door that no man can close. The
