The greatest place of battle is our mind. These battles range from how to feed, how to live, money to spend and other issues.

There are two factors involved in mind battle:
1.      The presence of God.
God's presence in us is always reminding us of its existence in our mind. It wants to make us see ourselves as conquerors and winners. It wants to make us not to see impossibilities and above all, it wants to bring us closer to God.
2.      The presence of devil.
Devil on the hand operates with his cohorts the demons in our minds. His major occupations are to derail us from achieving God's purpose in our lives. He tells us lies having been a liar.

It is important to note here that everything we require in life to make it is already provided for and is in us. However, we have a role to play; our role is to call it up. We call it up by prayer, praises and worship and by knowing and serving God.

The plan of the enemy is to ensure that your purpose in God is not realized. This he does by fighting us in the mind and making us believe all the lies he tells.

Steps to Dealing with the Captivities of Mind

1.      Break up from your location. Genesis 13:1-18
The reason why you must allow God to break you up from your location is to make you depend totally on Him. This is the first step to dealing with the captivity of the mind.
2.      Be in a place of new orientation. Genesis 13:1-18
Until you find yourself in a place of new orientation, some certain arrangements in your mind will not let God speak. Until Lot was separated from Abraham, he could not hear from God. Things to separate from are those things that negate the word of God like; cultures, beliefs, philosophies, relationships, associations etc.
3.      When God starts speaking, don't doubt Him. 2 Kings 7:1-20
